Barcelona and Biarritz

I drew a lot of the street in Barcelona. The bin and the tree stump lived on the boardwalk next to the beach. I drew the planes when I was staying in a hostel in Biarritz, south-west France. I had them tattooed across my back in Barcelona by a guy who had a spiders web inked into his scalp. Across from the parlour was a stall that sold lizards and snakes as pets. My webbed friend spoke no english and my spanish was non-existent at the time, so I sat there in pain staring at chameleons and pythons wishing time would fly by. I drew the bin the next day.

Slightly Tarnished

This was one of the first movies I made, almost 2 years ago now. What started out as a harmless photo shoot for Arty's jewelry label, ended with Ric tattooing both Arty and I in his living room.
That's what beer and friends are for, I've even got a tattoo of a skull with a beard and a top hat, smoking a pipe to prove it.
Jewelry by No Tomorrow. Tattoos by Ric Vaughan. I filmed and edited it.

Guy Maestri on ABC1

Snakes & Ladders made a mini-doco on Guy Maestri (2009 Arichbald winner) for Sunday Arts on ABC1 which was broadcast nationally around Australia.
His paintings are humorous and perverse, which is why I like them.
He roast's his own beans and makes a good coffee too.

Picking Lines

I drew the pig when I was in Paris. I found him in the Lourve. The other picture is a drawing of a collage I put up on my bedroom wall in Barcelona. Both in 2004. Both in the same drawing book.
